A new girl has joined our office fifteen days back. Her ever smiling face and dressing sense, especially the unique style of wearing her scarf around the head has impressed many, including me.
While chatting the other day, she mentioned how her husband is her best friend, always encouraging her dreams. She even showed me the beautiful pictures of their last adventure trip in Ladakh. Remembering my own mundane life, I hid my sigh.
Today I found her sick in the washroom.
“What happened?”
“Nothing, just time for my next chemo session”, she replied, calmy. Her smile still hiding the pain.
